Special Ride from Le Sirenuse

Just had a meeting with Antonio Sersale, the amazing manager of one of our favorite hotels, Le Sirenuse.  And he reminded us of a great little perk.  If you spend 3 nights in a junior suite you get a sunset cruise in the hotel speedboat, the renowned 1972 Riva, Sant’Antonio – complete with a bottle of Prosecco!  This is the perfect excuse to splurge for the room upgrade – what could be better than admiring the Amalfi Coast from the sea?

And just between us, if you are looking for a great getaway in April or May – look no further than Le Sirenuse – the weather is great, but the crowds aren’t there yet.  You might even get a deal on that junior suite.  See you in Positano 🙂

Grand Tour of Italy

Our friends at Orient Express are offering a Grand Tour of Italy where you can stay 7 nights in at least 2 of their incredible properties in Italy and pay a flat rate of €3,780 per couple for a double room or €6,566 for a junior suite.  The rates are slightly more in high season (€5,040 and €8,750 respectively) but if you know these hotels then you know they are a steal!

A few combinations that get us ready to pull out our passports are:

There are so many amazing combinations. Planning will be as much fun as traveling!

Try Verona Instead of Venice

Have you already been to Venice and looking for something different? Try Verona.

It is only 50 minutes by train from Venice or Milan. And Verona provides easy access to the beautiful Valpolicella wine region and Lake Garda. Verona is the perfect base for a fantastic trip to Italy, seeing tons of sites and never needing to pack and unpack your suitcase. Also, hotels here are much less expensive than in Venice, so you can splurge on extra wine!  I love the brand new Palazzo Victoria. It just opened 3 weeks ago and is right in the center of town – walking distance from the best shops and restaurants and a stone’s throw from the famous opera house.
