“Thankyou for being a friend, travel down the road and back again….” Yes it is the theme song that we all know and love, and for better or worse, every time I hear the word Florida I think of the Golden Girls. Funny, not so older ladies having cheesecake. This isn’t a bad thing, just means I watch way to much TV and need to get out more.
So I did, to Florida. Cheesecake and all.

And no, not Miami.  Somewhere a lot more fabulous.  Situated between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, there is a place named Acqualina. It is just five minutes from the world famous Bal Harbour Shops and a short drive to Miami Beach, South Beach, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale for all you crazy kids who want to do some shopping and some night time drinking and dancing.

Florida is one of the most busy and vibrant states in America and it is for ALL ages.

Acqualina’s feel and decore has been inspired by the Mediterranean and you can’t half tell. Warm and calming rooms await with the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean with white soft sand. Besides the stunning rooms and suites there is an oceanfront spa for Dorothy, three oceanfront restaurants, Sophia would love that, three oceanfront swimming pools for Blanche, and a marine biology-based AcquaMarine children’s program. Which no doubt will also have the kids by the oceanfront.
Did I mention it was by the ocean?

But I have to be honest, I did have a sad moment, going to Florida and not seeing my four favorite girls. But Acqaulina took care of that for me, in one of those ‘wow’ moments, the TV rises from the furniture. Thats right, it was hidden and I was reunited with them once more. Sing along “you would see the biggest gift would be from me, and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend”  Then I went down to the lobby and there they were,  checking in and looking even younger!
