We love hearing from happy clients and we have some now at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.  Here is what they had to say:

“The property is like a living postcard, it is absolutely beautiful. So far everything has been going great and I really enjoyed my time in Bangkok. Tonight I go to the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai then tomorrow I go trekking and finish the day off with a massage. The last day before my flight I get to ride the elephants. Thanks for helping me to make such great memories.”

Nothing is better than our clients appreciating our hard work and loving the same amazing hotels we do.

The New York Palace Jewel Suite

The New York Palace Jewel Suite is the ultimate hotel souvenir swag designed to impress. Forget signature toiletries and key chains. The New York Palace really knows how to ring in any day of the year and make it unforgettable. The recent $140 million renovations includes the  The Jewel Suite by Martin Katz paying New York Palace Suitehomage to the 50th anniversary of Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra. For $25,000 a night, a lucky Jewel Suite guest will receive an original Martin Katz Diamond Microband Ring valued at $2,500 in his Beverly Hills store or Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Oprah Winfrey recently filmed the ‘Power Performances’ episode in this 5,000 square feet one-of-a-kind suite. Sandra Bullock is enshrined in one of the jewel cases.

The Jewel Suite by Martin Katz features glittering jewel-inspired tones and opulent fabrics invoke over the top luxury and romance with the interior bling valued at over $1.5 million. Stepping into the three level suite, literally took my breath away. The theme is immediately set with Port Laurent stone floors, diamond-like wall coverings, a 20-foot ‘diamond waterfall’ chandelier and ‘floating’ crystal jewel boxes featuring the distinctive jewelry by Martin Katz as a permanent feature of the foyer’s trend setting design. These spherical boxes also reflect the iconic Midtown NY skyline from the Grand Parlor’s floor-to-ceiling windows which serves as the perfect backdrop for the grand piano poised front and center like a true diva. The mirrored dining room seats 10 whose eyes will be equally drawn to the Katz designed glass mosaics and hand blown glass chandelier.

Ascending the circular staircase, all eyes are lifted up to the jewel-like cascading chandelier and into the perfect boudoir/study featuring a custom designed Lucite desk/table and also showcases even more spectacular jewels with framed Martin Katz designs in black and white. Entering the opulent Master Bedroom and serene Calcutta Tucci marble and polished black absolute granite Master Bath sets the stage for a very intimate act two. Silver and pearl velvet adorns the Art Deco-inspired chairs and a second bedroom also lavishly furnished with Katz’s inspirations. The suite can sleep 6. For its grand finale, to top all of this, the seasonal use third floor features one of the few wood burning fireplaces featured in any hotel in New York City. The ultimate final turn on is the spectacular iconic city views from the private outdoor terrace spa. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate dinner or breakfast or shout out your love from the New York Palace Suite 4literal rooftop!

Looking for something even more memorable? Ensure that the love of your life says yes and is not like Cleopatra (Queen of “de-Nile”). To ensure a resounding “I do!”, then The Ultimate Proposal Package includes accommodations in The Jewel Suite by Martin Katz; a private consultation with Mr. Katz (jeweler to the stars) for the creation of a custom-designed engagement ring and/or wedding band; plus a completely customized private dining experience just for the two of you on the breathtaking rooftop terrace. Rates for this package begin at $50,000 per night, based on the custom jewellery.

If after love, comes a fairy tale marriage, The New York Palace is the perfect place to continue the storybook romance, with or without The Jewel Suite. I know, because my daughter had a real fairy tale wedding at the Palace. Her daughter, even before staying at the Palace recently with the whole family, was sure she was a real princess, because she knew her parents got married and stayed in The Palace!  That is truly what family memories are made of! Now, though she is more excited about their American Girl Package!

You do not need to book the Jewel Suite to be treated like a celebrity or royalty at The New York Palace. All Tower accommodations include private reception and elevator, complimentary Wi-Fi, drop-off service, champagne, white roses and Michel Richard Truffles and you can leave the packing and unpacking to them!

Aspen in the Summer

Aspen in the summer isn’t the best kept secret any longer.  There was a time when the term de rigueur only applied to the winter months in Aspen but over the years the famous destination has evolved into the diverse resort city it is today.  You won’t be disappointed when the Aspen trees start to turn green as high season starts all over right about Memorial Day.  There’s biking, hiking, jogging, swimming, white water rafting, hang gliding, fly fishing etc. etc. If all that activity is not your thing there’s the Food and Wine Classic or Aspen Music Festival.

Jerome Lobby

They’re both world class events.  There’s art galleries for all types of art in all the price ranges.  Then of course, there’s the designer shops and non-designer ones.  Aspen is one of the best places to find authentic cowboy boots and hats.  Kemosabe is the place.  They’re not inexpensive but the ones you buy here are for life.  All this activity is going to make you

Water.  Where will you stay?  There are three luxury hotels.  Little Nell, Aspen’s first “luxe” hotel, is at the base of Ajax Mountain and has one of the best restaurants for lunch, Ajax Tavern. The St. Regis down the block is the most glamorous and has undoubtingly the best spa.  Lastly, there’s the Jerome, and of the three it’s the most authentic in feeling. The detail of workmanship combined with style makes staying here a unique experience.  Check out our Aspen guide. You can get the rates and make reservations instantly.  After you’ve done that check our dining tab where you can even see the menus at some of the best restaurants in the Rockies.  There’s other tabs for shopping and things to do that even include night life.
