Four Seasons is Most Kid Friendly Hotel in Florence

I just checked into the Four Seasons Firenze and am completely blown away – it is the most kid friendly hotel in Florence.

Sure the lobby is gorgeous and the service impeccable….but when I got to my room and saw a crib filled with diapers, child sized robe and slippers, a baby bath in the tub, the most amazing cookie plate I have ever laid eyes on (with apple juice) and…wait for it…a diaper genie…I couldn’t be any happier.

Every parent knows there is absolutely nothing to do with a poop filled diaper at a hotel…until now!  This diaper genie is just genius. How is it that no other hotel I have been to has thought of this? Not to mention we got a Pinocchio doll at check in – did you know the author was from a village just next to Florence? I didn’t! You learn something new every day…

It always make me happy when a hotel goes the extra mile to make things a little easier – it is the small things that make the biggest difference.

Shangri La Tokyo is Offering Amazing Perks

The Shangri La Hotel Tokyo is offering some amazing perks! Not only do you get the incredible Virtuoso amenities of daily breakfast for 2, complimentary wifi and welcome gifts…but our clients will now receive an upgrade at the time of booking and the best part of all is complimentary concierge service to and from Tokyo Station.

The Shangri La Tokyo is conveniently located just steps away from the station.  And anyone who has been to Tokyo knows that these stations get crazy! You will be given a phone number and email of a concierge and when you know the time your train will arrive just send a text or email and someone will be waiting for you on the platform to take you to the hotel. You don’t have to stare at the map and figure out which exit is closest to the hotel entrance — you don’t have to worry about a thing. This concierge will take your luggage and you can just relax and take in the pandemonium that is Tokyo.  And the best part is – they will do this as many times as you need to go to the station – taking the bullet train to Kyoto?? No problem – just text the concierge and she will take you to the station, help you buy your ticket and escort you on the train. And she will be waiting for you when you return. Service really doesn’t get any better than this. Shangri La Tokyo

Capella Understands Incredible Service

Capella Ixtapa

Capella Ixtapa

Capella Hotel Group understands incredible service and personal attention keep clients coming back. Led by the charming and charismatic Horst Schulze, former president and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, they promise that if clients choose to stay at a Capella property the staff will take it upon themselves to provide that guest with the best possible service and experience to keep them coming back.

And it works!  I have a client who visited Capella Ixtapa a few years ago – every time I talk to him he mentions how much he loved it there. Countless hotels offer nice rooms and and a beautiful setting, but what separates a luxury hotel from a ultra-luxury experience is when the client feels special and every aspect of the stay is seamlessly executed.

Capella has a small group of eclectic properties in Mexico, Singapore, Germany, Washington, DC and soon to be St. Lucia (we can’t wait for this one!) all in unique settings and filled with touches indigenous to the destination. The next time you travel to one of these places – think Capella!

What Does Your Hotel Say About You?

George V Entrance

Just like your clothes or your career, where you decide to stay can say a lot about you — so what does your hotel say about you?

Paris is one of our favorite cities and there are so many fantastic hotels to choose from….so which one is best suited to match your personality? We selected some of the best to help you decide which is the perfect property for your next trip to the City of Light.

Four Seasons George V:  This hotel is the epitome of classic luxury.  Perfect for people who want to see and be seen, and also the ideal place for name dropping.  If you love Chanel you will love George V.  If you are a New Yorker think Upper East Side.

Le Royal Monceau Raffles:  This hotel is cutting edge luxury. If you have already been there and done that, come see this! Perfect for artists and designers, this property takes a modern twist on elegance.

Le Bristol:  Refined and sophisticated, the Bristol is discrete and private; totally luxe but without being flashy.  Think Akris or Jill Sander; very Upper West Side.

Esprit Saint Germain:  This hotel is more quiet and off the beaten path.  For those who are low key and subtle, but with excellent taste. More Williamsburg or Trastevere than Champs Elysees.

Shangri La: This property is also for the understated individual…someone who appreciates elegance and history and service, but has a quiet side and doesn’t need to be in the center of the action…but LOVES a good view – most rooms have incredible Eiffle Tower views (see below).
